I never overlooked Orlando, as I see them as the number 2 team in the East in my opinion. I just feel that the Hawks have the chance to fight for that 3 seed now that it goes by record and not division standings. J Smoove doesn’t play the perimeter anymore, as he has not taken a 3 all season and is shooting close to 60 percent from the field. He understands where is strengths are and is using it to its maximum potential, prime example, the Knicks and Nuggets game.

It’ll take time for JJ and JC to play together, as they are shooters who have great court vision, time playing on the court together will fix that. JC is still new to the team and still has to find the spots where the vets can get him the ball, so time will tell.

I think atownhawk23 is being a little biased toward JC, but opinions are like assholes, we all have one, lol. I think JC should still be the 6th b/c like you said, he brings that killer instinct in when he comes in the game and pick up right where JJ left off, sometimes better. I totally agree that MW should be coming off the bench, while moving JSmoove to the 3, Horford to the 4 and Pachulia to the 5. MW is not playing up to the potential of the contract he received in the offseason and has not been agressive, defensively and offensively. He would be a great addition in the second line-up with Crawford, Evans, Joe Smith, and/or Randolph/Collins. He should split minutes w/ Evans and earn more minutes w/ his play. It would have a direct impact defensively, more rebounds, and scoring will be the same, if not, more effective!

atownhawk23, I like Jamal Crawford because he has that killer instinct . He's a terrific ball-handler and shooter. He will give the hawks a huge boost when we play Orlando, Boston, Cleveland, and Miami. Remember, MJ(retired), KB, LJ and AI are also ball hoggers.

I never said that I wanted Jamal to replace Marvin William because they play different positions. Sorry if I gave you that impression, but Jamal is more suited at pg. However, I would like to see M.Woodson start Mo Evans over M.Williams if he doesn't move Al Horford to his natural position(power forward). Marvin William just don't cut it for me. Sorry Marvin.

Jamal seems to fit in nicely here and mesh with both units.....but has anyone heard about the grizzlies rookie thabeet? I watch to see how the new comers do and he has broken his jaw i believe yesterday. Report says on zach randolphs head of trailblazers. Now that is just painful and a hard ass head(excuse my language)

can't wait to see the hawks get 25 games under their belt. they are doing a good job learnibg to play with an expanding rotation. WOODSON will have them ready for all the top teams after he experiment with his rotation. Marvin is a starter. He's a patient player and puts up modest numbers. If he was on a team not as deep, he would score another 5 or more points a game.

Tony, (NO OFFENSE BUT) are you serious? You've got to be kidding me.

BECAUSE:

1)J.Crawford should get less minutes because he is a ball hog.

2)J.Crabby Crawford should pass the ball because he is destroying what we have here.

3)J.Crabby Crawford should stop being a HATER AND PASS THE FREAK-IN BALL!!!

4)JOE JOHNSON KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING BECAUSE HE IS THE CAPTAIN AND HE IS NOT SELFISH LIKE SOME FOLKS (JAMAL CRAWFORD).

5) MARVIN IS A STARTER , SO YOU MIGHT AS WELL GET OVER IT BECAUSE J.CRABBY CRAWFORD IS NOT GOING TO START.

6) I AGREE WITH YOU ON THE AL HORFORD IS NOT A TRUE CENTER, BUT HE SHONUFF IS DOING A GOOD JOB BEING OUR CENTER!!!

THEY WOULD BE A BETTER TEAM IF:

JAMAL would stop being a BALL HOG!!

People weren't so selfish!!

He brings excitement and scoring that is surely a weapon we need when things arent going well. Not saying marv cant bring that as a sixth man but because he has been a starter it doesnt seem probable to put him on the bench. Especially when we need someone to lead that second unit

I know its the start of the season believe me I have not forgotten about orlando or miami for that. This a tough division this year but i believe with with the new additions we have a chance to crack the top 3. As far as smoove goes, he is developing into the role but has to trust himself so he can be a better player. He is seen more in the paint now and is barely attempting 3s which is a good sign. marv deserves to start because he brings great things to the first unit. Crawford is better as the sixth man

Here's 4 reasons why the hawks is the 4th best team in the league.

1) Joe Johnson treat J.Crawford like an outcast like he did AC Law.
2) Josh Smith spend too much time around the perimeter.
3) Marvin Williams should not be a starter.
4) Horford is not a true center.

The hawks could be the best team in the east

1) If Joe Johnson ever learn to pass the ball to J. Crawford when they're on the court together.
2) If Josh Smith ever realize that he is a paint man and not a perimeter man.
3) If M.Woodson ever realize that Marvin Williams is not a starter.
4) If M.Woodson ever realize that Al Horford is not a true center.

Keep in mind Hawksgirl and Anonymous Hawks Guy, the Hawks have to have a better record than everyone in the SE division or win their division to even be in the top 3. You guys mention Cleveland but overlook Orlando which will surely be the team to beat to get that #1 spot in the SE division. But right now you can't really tell who is gonna be the best at the end of the season. Such a small sample out of the 82 games to really tell. Gotta give props to the ATL Hawks for the great start to the season. Overall I'm left with a positive feeling about the season despite the loss against Charlotte and LA Lakers. Hey the team is 2-2 on the road so far and still undefeated at home 3-0. Can't help but appreciate that.

Well alrighty then, big ups to Joe Johnson for being named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week. He helped lead his team to a 3-1 record last week. Good to see him get recognized for his hard work last week and not just his vocalizing what he thought his team's weaknesses were. Wishing him many more opportunities for recognition as the season progresses. And ultimately him leading his team to elite status.

GO ATL HAWKS! CONTINUE THE RISE! KEEP LETTING THEM KNOW! ONE GAME AT A TIME!
