Joe Johnson will be a starter Sunday night in the 2010 All-Star Game. Stan Van Gundy, head coach of the Eastern Confernce squad, has informed the media that Joe Johnson will replace Allen Iverson as the fifth starter.

Johnson becomes the first Hawks since Dikembe Mutombo in 1997-98 to start in the All-Star Game.

“I’m extremely excited by this honor, and appreciative that I’ve been selected,” Johnson told Arthur Triche, Hawks VP of Public Relations. “Thanks to Coach Van Gundy for having the confidence in me and I hope to represent the Hawks well on Sunday.”

Hey wwhat do yall think about this?
Before the trade deadline trade Joe Johnson and a future 1st round for Rodney Stuckey and Tayshaun prince. NExt season sign back Joe Smith along with Joel Anthony, and Brenden Haywood. I think thats a good line up the problem with the hawks is their unathleticism nobody can stay infront of their man, especially vs OKC but it was embarrasing in NY becuz we were up nd noone could guard nate.
Smoove and Marvin are Startint to look fat they need to get in the weight room its inconveinient but it will only help them get better.

    2:Crawford/Stuckey
    3:Williams/Prince
    4:SMith/Anthony/SMith
    5:Horford/Haywood/Pachulia

PLus if the Timberwolves get first pick(Hope and prey!)adn drafrt wall then theyll probably need to get rid of flynn who I love (nohomo) becuz of his lively attitude and dedication plus he has alot of heart. THen we can resign and trade like MOevans and a first round for him. (Im not betting on it but hope fully) lol i know non of this will happen but if it did wed be the #1 team in the leauge Oh cant forget teauge stick him in the D-Leauge so we have something when bibby is done for 2-3yrs until he gets better he’ll develop oh and draft Stanley Robinson of Uconn

Fantasy Team aka NBA Champ Hawks team: the one above or
    1:Bibby/Flynn/Teauge(Dleauge)
    2:Crawford/Stuckeey
    3:Williams/Prince/Stanley RObinson
    4:Smith/ANthony/SMith
    5:Horford/Haywood/Pachulia

Hawksfanman, you might well get this blog with all of that CRAP you posting on this blog because

    1. JJ AIN’T GOING No where.
    2. You don’t like the way the team is right now, then BE GONE.
    3. Teague is new to the league, so don’t get nothing started.
    4. Nobody want them players because they either can’t make the playoffs or can’t make it to the next round.

    5. Plus I think you’re a stupid sports fan.

It looks like the Wizards are trying to make some lopsided trades lowering their salary to avoid the luxury tax. Jamison and Miller are in the talks, have the Hawks thought about this? They could be great additions to the team and really put us in championship contention. Its been said that the Wizards would take on trades favoring the other team as long as it dropped their salary cap.
