"The Difference" Staying Busy in Seattle
While the newest Crawford on the Hawks roster is focused on the single task of performing well at the Las Vegas Summer League, last year’s NBA Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford is multi-tasking back in his hometown of Seattle, WA.
Jamal has a very active foundation (JamalCrawford.org) and has a handful of great events lined up for the offseason. This Saturday he is hosting “High Tops & Helping Hands” with an assist from other NBA stars with ties to the area, such as Nate Robinson, Brandon Roy and Spencer Hawes. Attendees will have a chance to mingle with plenty of players and celebrities while enjoying BBQ, interactive games and live entertainment. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit Seattle Children’s Sports Health Programs.
This past weekend Jamal showed up to support budding area hoops stars at the Adonai Hood Classic, an event that he has participated in during past offseasons. Check out the video of Jamal talking about the event:
Jamal is also hosting his basketball camp this week at Bellevue College.
Check out the transcript from a Live Chat he did earlier today with SeattleTimes.com.

Dont get me wrong I love Crawford but nobody cares about this, we want to know whats going on with team acquisitions……….. Lets just face it signing Joe was a dumb move because the management still does not want to spend any more money even if it means winning championships, were destined to lose look at who we would have to beat out to make it out of the east, Miami, Orlando, and then next year potentially the knicks with Paul, Melo, and Amare?
They will blow out of the water!
Paul/Douglas
Chandler/Azuibike
Anthony/
Gallinari/Randolph
Amre/Turiaf
