Who's it Gonna Be?

Always an exciting time of the year, the NBA Finals kicked into high gear Thursday night. In a remarkable late-game comeback, the Mavericks rallied back from a 15-point deficit in the final seven minutes of Game 2 to tie the series at 1-1.

In addition to the already-exciting series showdown between Dirk and the Big Three, here in Atlanta, we get to see two former Hawks guards squaring off. Jason Terry and Mike Bibby, each of whom made great contributions to the buildup of the Hawks during their tenure, are now battling one another in pursuit of their first championship ring.

Since 2004, Terry has become a vital part of the Mavs’ offense, averaging 16.8 PPG in the Playoffs and putting in over 32 minutes per game. Mike Bibby has both come off the bench and started at point guard with the Heat since being acquired late in the season after the trade that brought Kirk Kinrich to Atlanta. Bibby on Thursday pulled out of his recent slump from behind the arc, shooting 4-7 from three-point range in the 95-93 loss to the Mavs.

If Thursday night was any indication, we’re in for one of the most exciting NBA Finals in years. The series moves to Dallas through Game 5, and as Terry and Bibby continue their head-to-head fight for a long-awaited championship, we want to know, which of the former hometown boys are you pulling for?
