(UPDATE: 2:51pm CST – Rose is listed in the starting lineup.)

Marvin Williams is attending a funeral in Seattle and will not be with the team for today’s match-up with the Bulls in Chicago. Willie Green will start at the shooting guard for Atlanta, while Joe Johnson will slide over to start in Marvin’s spot at small forward.

For Chicago, while there is no official word on his status yet, Derrick Rose has been cleared to play by the team’s training staff. Rose has missed the Bulls’ last five games with a sore back. He may feel more pressure to be on the court today for Chicago as CJ Watson is expected to miss the game (mild concussion).

Without Marvin Williams the Hawks will be missing their third leading rebounder, and will need to turn in a complete team effort on the boards to make up for the smaller lineup. Willie Green and Coach Drew talked about the importance of battling on the glass just moments ago:

Willie’s earned a start over Joe or Marvin even if they’re healthy.
