Actually, you know what? I'm not so sure we should be making any trades at all. If we can get Al healthy (and I realize that's a big if), I think our team has shown that they're good enough to hang with anybody in the playoffs. Trading just for the sake of "doing something" could very well just screw things up. We've got a good thing going here; I sure wouldn't want to lose out.

OK, so how about we trade Smoove for Gasol, straight up, then Gasol and Joe for Dwight Howard.
We could then shift Hinrich to the starting 2 spot and Pargo to the backup point, so no loss there.
And then best-case scenario, Al recovers in time for the playoffs and he and Howard take the Hawks to the finals, causing an explosion in popularity for the Hawks and making Howard to want to stay with his new hometown team.
Or worst-case scenario, Howard goes somewhere else next year and we’ve got plenty of room to rebuild now that Joe’s huge contract is Orlando’s problem and we don’t have to worry about money constraints anymore.
Seems like a win-win to me, and I think the Lakers and the Magic would both actually be willing to agree to those trades.
