See The Backcourt Rotation In Action
When last the Hawks were in town in the preseason, Devin Harris was on the sidelines still working his way into form.
After missing the first three games, Harris made his preseason debut Tuesday night against the Pacers, scoring 11 points and grabbing 5 rebounds in 22 minutes of action.
Harris’ return to the lineup means that the Hawks now have their full complement of lead guards (probably one of the reason Carldell Johnson was released from the roster), which means folks coming down to the Highlight Factory will get their first glance at what Harris, Lou Williams, and Jeff Teague in action in the same game will look like.
It’s really going to be one of the most interesting subplots of this season for the Hawks: How do you manage when you have three very talented playmakers, each with different areas of strength, all deserving of playing time?
Coach Drew has said that the last three preseason games will see the Hawks using more and more of their regular season rotations, so we may get a bit of an inkling as to how that may play out. There is certainly enough PT to go around for all of them, but who will start, who will finish, all of that remains to be seen.
