Josh Smith suffered a right ankle sprain in Friday night’s game against the Rockets and will not travel with the team to Oklahoma City, the Hawks reported on Saturday. In addition, center Johan Petro will continue to rehabilitate his back and will not travel as well.

Going to OKC is a tall task as it is, and all the more so without Smith in the mix. Still, Danny Ferry did a good job building depth in the offseason, and that depth will be tested against the defending Western Conference champs.
