Rooting Interests: Pacers, Celtics in Action

As Jim Morrison once said, “The West is the best.” Let’s hope that is the case tonight, as the Celtics and Pacers both head out of town for road games in Western Conference cities.

Boston, licking their wounds from last night’s rout at the hands of the Knicks, heads to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves. Ricky Rubio and company have lost 11 straight to the Celtics, so they’ll be trying to reverse a long-standing trend. With the way Boston has been playing of late, tonight could be their night.

The Pacers meanwhile take on the Clippers in Los Angeles, where the home team will be trying to get to 50 wins in a season for the first time in franchise history (really?). They’ve lost two straight trying to get there, and will face a stern test from an Indiana team that has won 7 of 8. So, depending on if you prefer the Knicks or the Pacers, you can decide who you want to root for in that one.

If the Hawks can take care of business at home against Cleveland, the Eastern Conference seeding chart could look very different in the morning.
