Hawks Add To Size with 6’11″ Antić

Thursday, July 25th, 2013

The Hawks announced the signing of 6’11″ Republic of Macedonia center Pero Antić Thursday, adding to what is becoming a crowded frontcourt. Monday, July 22nd, 2013

After taking a few days to step back and look at what the Hawks accomplished this summer, here’s my breakdown of each player: John Jenkins Jenkins had perhaps the most attention on him before the summer began.  Last season’s first-round pick was expected to be a leader of the group, and for the most... »

Hawks Limp Away From Summer League With Loss

Saturday, July 20th, 2013

A few thoughts after tonight’s 93-87 loss to the Kings: - The Hawks have certainly seen better days.  Lucas Nogueira and Mike Muscala were out before halftime with precautionary injuries, and the team allowed 90+ for the third time this week.  It certainly wasn’t the way Atlanta wanted to end its 11-day stay in... »

Hawks Play Best Game of Summer, Lose Thriller in OT

Thursday, July 18th, 2013

A few thoughts after tonight’s 70-69 overtime loss to the Blazers: - It may not have been the result the Hawks wanted, but this was by far Atlanta’s best game so far this week.  The defense, which had been a major concern after two games allowing 90+ points, was there from start to finish.... »
