Pero Antić scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds Thursday, but it wasn’t enough as Macedonia fell 75-67 to Lithuania in EuroBasket.

Macedonia is now 0-2 in the FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament and may have to win their final three games just to get out of the first round.

Three of the six teams in Macedonia’s group will advance to round two.  The good news for Macedonia is they have yet to play the top two teams (Serbia and Latvia) in their group.  To advance, Macedonia will likely need wins over both, and those results would carry over to round two should Serbia and Latvia also advance.

Macedonia plays Serbia Friday.

NBA teammate Gustavo Ayón helped Mexico into the second round of the FIBA Americas Championship, but they lost to Canada in the first game Thursday.
