Announcing the first NBA “Round Robin” to see whose coaching staff is manning the sidelines during the 2010 All-Star Game!

Okay, so it is not official and it isn’t clear cut, but due to another quirk in this season’s schedule three of the tops teams in the East will play a little round robin this weekend (see schedule above).

The Cavs are currently leading the Eastern Conference, but since Mike Brown and his staff are not eligible to coach the All-Star Game (you cannot coach the team two years in a row) the staff from the second place team will take their place.

With the Celtics, Hawks and Magic so close in the standings (see right) this weekend’s action will most likely determine who takes the honor. Whoever has the best record at the end of the day Sunday will be awarded the coaching responsibilities.

Note: The Celtics host the Lakers on Sunday.
The Magic play in Detroit on Sunday.
