Bruised, but No Longer Battered

The Hawks are still dealing with plenty of aches and pains, but the team was given a boost on Monday when Al Horford and Marvin Williams both were cleared for full participation at practice.

That was the good news…

The bad news was that Josh Smith and Joe Johnson both missed practice and opted instead to receive treatment on recent knee injuries. Joe banged his right knee in the second quarter of Atlanta’s win in Charlotte, while Smith reportedly hyper-extended his knee in Friday’s loss to New Orleans. Neither player is expected to miss any game action due to these injuries.

Horford said he is not pain-free out on the court, but that the ankle that sidelined him this past weekend has progressed enough that he hopes to be back in action Wednesday night in Milwaukee.
