Just like the game itself, basketball shoes have evolved ever since Converse introduced the Chuck Taylor All-Stars in 1917. While the initial progression came slow (Chucks maintained its place as the top basketball shoe well into the 60’s), there were many brands, styles and features by the time the NBA’s popularity took off in the 80’s.
