Johnson and Green will both miss games tonight and tomorrow.

There were plenty of updates from shootaround this morning… which is not a good thing.

The official injury report lists Joe Johnson (knee) as day-to-day and Willie Green (back) as doubtful, but Coach Drew said that neither player will be in uniform tonight as the Hawks take on the Bucks. Joe’s knee continued to bother him during Wednesday’s loss to Golden State, and LD said restoring strength to the knee may be the bigger issue at this point. Meanwhile, Green left Wednesday’s game when his back tightened up and the Hawks will most likely error on the side of caution with him as back injuries can be tricky and are easy to aggravate.

Vladimir Radmanovic missed the last game due to illness and is still listed as day-to-day. He did participate in this morning’s shootaround and could be in uniform tonight if he is feeling better.

Zaza Pachulia is also on the injury report, listed as day-to-day with a left calf strain. He is expected to be in uniform and in the starting lineup tonight for the Hawks.

Josh Smith is not on the injury report, but he has been battling illness as well.

Let’s not forget that the Hawks are already without their All-Star center Al Horford and a reserve big man in Jason Collins.

Still, the NBA season waits for no one, so the Hawks will have to press on with the healthy troops that they have. Here is what Coach Drew had to say about the Bucks team and the challenges they present:
