Atlanta Hawks v San Antonio Spurs

The Boston Celtics host the Brooklyn Nets tonight.  The Hawks will have a watchful eye on it.standings

Brooklyn is almost assured of the four seed, barring a monumental collapse in the season’s final week.  Tonight’s win would cement that for them.  Boston, however, is playing for much more.  The Celtics would like to move up at least one spot to sixth to avoid the New York Knicks – a team that has tormented them this season – in the first round.  They need one more Atlanta loss to pull even in the loss column.  Boston wins the tiebreaker.

Meanwhile, the Hawks have their own business to take care of in Philadelphia tonight.  Besides holding off Boston for sixth, the Hawks all of a sudden have their sights set on the Chicago Bulls‘ fifth-place mark.  Chicago leads Atlanta by just a half game but also gets the tiebreaker, so the Bulls need to lose at least twice more for Atlanta to have a chance.  Chicago is off tonight.

We’re in the final week of the season!  Let the seeding assortment begin.
